Introduction- about myself
Why do I write about physics and cosmology?
It has been a passion of mine since I can remember. The first book on the stars that I got was a gift from my grandmother. It was a book containing the star maps which I used while looking through my older brother’s telescope when I was less than ten. I remember my second book was a paperback written by Isaac Asimov called The Universe from Flat Earth to Quasar’ written in the 60s. I wa sone of those kids with a microscope, telescope, chemistry set and a wild imagination. I guess one could say I was quite normal.
Nature, from atoms to galaxies, has always been such a curiosity to me. I always had this hunger to know. Chemistry and electricity were two of my childhood hobbies that I played with. So curious that I could make something that seemed elemental to me from something else.
This document was never written to read from beginning to end. As a matter of fact, it was never started as a book. How the words here that appear in this web page started were simply bits and pieces of paragraphs written by myself where parts of which were copied and pasted (I have tried to ensure that any of the original authors are mentioned and linked) while I was looking for something I have always found completely curious and elusive; why is the maximum speed of anything, of everything, the speed of light. What is this magical number and how did it come about? What is this causation thing?
